The Transgender Community - 1071 Words
The transgender community should have the right to use the restroom of the gender they identity with or have an alternate choice, some people many agree that is would be a dangerous liability, but some people may even agree to proving gender neutral restrooms. In dangerous of a person of the opposite sex using the restroom they prefer are very obvious, but is every person out to cause dangerous to other people in the restroom. Some peopleââ¬â¢s gender evolves differently, and might not fit rigid traditional notices of female and male. The effects of stereotype threat advanced because of the self-fulfilling prophecies that many different races, sexes or even religions fall into the effects of. ââ¬Å"Gender refers to the cultural nature of theâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦For example: it was start to open some unisex public toilet in our society for any gender or gender identity may use, and it is facilities benefit transgender populations and people who exist outside of the gende r binary and people with disabilities. In addition, most people think transgender that is a psychiatric classification and describe the problems related to transgender identity, and transvestism. Another reason for this is the stigma experienced by many people who has sex with same sex and transgender. This has brought up many mixed feelings, both in transgender groups and in mainstream society. Many members of the transgender community treated harshly and unfairly in professional and social settings. This leads to violet mental health problems, and devalues the lives of many productive members of society. A term used for people who identify as a different gender than the sex they were born with. Gender Identity- One s personal concept of whether they are a man, a woman, gender non-conforming, bi-gendered, etc. Gender expression- The external representation of one s gender. Sex- The anatomical categorization of male or female that one assigned to at birth. ââ¬Å"I do not look like a little girl. I am a little girl.
